The MIOF-154DO can provide compensated digital pressure data within dialysis, laboratory and other medical-fluid instruments using compatible media. Its 19 mm cavity-mounted format supports established fluid-block designs, while the digital interface reduces reliance on a low-level analog signal path. The controller can apply application-specific operating limits, trend analysis and diagnostic logic.
Automated Process Analyzers
Process analyzers can use the MIOF-154DO to monitor pressure during sampling, pumping, filtration and flushing sequences. Digital pressure readings allow the instrument software to verify whether each fluid-handling step produced the expected response. This pressure response can help the software detect an empty supply, blocked filter, closed valve or declining pump performance.
Digital Modernization of 19 mm Sensor Platforms
The MIOF-154DO is suited to manufacturers retaining an established 19 mm fluid cavity while migrating the surrounding electronics from analog bridge measurement to digital communication. Preserving the mechanical interface can limit fluid-system redesign, while digital compensation can simplify the main control board. The compensated I²C or SPI output provides pressure and temperature data without retaining the former analog bridge-conditioning stage.
