Suggested Applications
High-Pressure Hydraulic Power Units
The MIOF-87N can monitor working pressure in hydraulic power units, presses and actuator systems operating above the range of the 85, 86 and 154 platforms. Its welded high-pressure construction and available 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 psi ranges make this the family member intended for these duties. The three available pressure ranges allow the sensing cell to be matched to the working-pressure class of the equipment.
High-Pressure Pump and Compressor Discharge
Installed at a suitable pressure connection, the MIOF-87N can measure discharge pressure from high-pressure pumps or compatible compressor systems. Continuous feedback allows the equipment controller to regulate operation or initiate protective action when pressure leaves the permitted operating window. Its welded construction and high-pressure range make it better suited to these duties than the MIOF platforms limited to 500 psi.
Pressure-Test and Proof-Test Equipment
Production and maintenance test stands can use the MIOF-87N to measure pressure during controlled proof, leak or pressure-decay sequences conducted within its specified operating and overload limits. The high-pressure cell covers test conditions beyond the 500 psi limit of the other MIOF platforms, while its electrical output can be recorded by automated test equipment.
