Flexible Output Circuit with Products Using Integrated Gain Resistor

AVSensors is proud to release the first in our 10-part application note series: "Signal Conditioning Circuit for Multiple Analog Outputs Using On-Board Gain Adjust Circuitry." This foundational note guides engineers through the design of signal conditioning circuits for piezoresistive pressure sensors, especially in applications requiring amplified analog outputs (e.g., 1–5V, 0–10V, or 4–20mA). The circuit offers non-interacting zero and span calibration, supports both voltage and current outputs, and is designed for sensors with constant current excitation.

This application note details a practical analog signal conditioning circuit designed for temperature-compensated piezoresistive pressure sensors. The circuit architecture allows for precise, non-interacting zero and span calibration using a single power supply. It supports both three-wire voltage output and two-wire current loop output configurations. The design is compatible with AVSensors' compensated pressure sensor series utilizing constant current excitation (e.g., CTO Series, CHT-Series, MIOF-xxx CC Series)

This application note demonstrates AVSensors' continued commitment to being not just a component provider—but a trusted technical partner for medical, life sciences, and industrial engineers. Download the full note now to build smarter analog output interfaces with precision and confidence.
