Suggested Applications
Smart Pump and Compressor Controllers
The MIOF-85DO can supply digitally compensated pressure data directly to the controller in intelligent pumps and compressors. Threaded or weldable process connections permit permanent installation, while the optional snubber can moderate pulsating pressure before it reaches the sensing diaphragm. The digital interface reduces the amount of analog amplification and calibration circuitry required on the main control board.
Automated Process and Fluid-Dispensing Equipment
Automated dosing, dispensing and process-control equipment can use the MIOF-85DO to verify that the fluid system develops and maintains the intended pressure. Digital pressure information can be evaluated for blocked lines, empty supply conditions, valve problems or operation outside established limits. Its stainless-steel isolation system allows use with compatible process fluids that should not contact an exposed silicon die.
Digitally Monitored Tank Level
The MIOF-85DO can measure hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of a vented vessel and transmit a compensated digital value to a microcontroller for level calculation. Its I²C or SPI output eliminates the external amplification and analog-to-digital conversion normally required for a millivolt sensor, simplifying integration into OEM tank-monitoring equipment.
